OAKAJEE PORT AND RAIL PROJECT — OAKAJEE PORT AND RAIL’S FINANCES
I refer to a recent statement by Oakajee Port and Rail Pty Ltd that its integrated port and rail project is financially robust and underpinned by strong backing from Mitsubishi and a consortium of leading Australian, Japanese and international banks. (1) Has OPR advised the government that it can no longer finance the project as outlined in its successful submission, accepted just four months ago? (2) Has OPR retained its position as preferred proponent for the development of the port infrastructure? Mr C.J. BARNETT
