(8) (a&b) In 1994/95 three law firms wrote to the Hon Minister for Health or Department expressing interest in providing legal services to the health sector. One submission was made by Minter Ellison Northmore Hale and was forwarded by Mr Neil Douglas as a partner in that firm. (9) I am advised by the Department that the provision of information to the Equal Opportunity Tribunal resulted from discussions between HDWA and its legal advisors. The Department continues to dispute the findings of Public Sector Standards Commissioner which in any event relate only to actions by departmental officers. (10) This is a decision for the Commissioner of Health. The Commissioner of Health considered the matter in detail and in all the circumstances decided not to hold a disciplinary inquiry.
