I refer to the new railcars for the Currambine line, scheduled for delivery in 2004 and ask will the Minister advise when will the platforms along this line be lengthened, in order to accommodate the new three-car set configuration?

Public tenders were called on 15 March 2003 for the platform extensions. Tenders close in mid-April and the contract for the works will be awarded in June. Construction works will commence in July this year and will be complete by August 2004.
