AMBULANCE RAMPING
971. Hon MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I
refer to Legislative Council question on notice 2894 and correspondence I received
from the minister on 5 March 2020 and the minister's commitment
to report data on regional ramping.
(1) Will the minister fulfil his
commitment to reporting on regional ramping?
(2) If yes to (1), when will
reporting commence?
(3) If no to (1), why will the
government no longer commit to reporting on regional ramping?

(1) The
Department of Health is committed to reporting on transfer of care, not ambulance
ramping, for all regions within Western Australia for which information is
available.
(2)–(3) The
Department of Health is currently involved in active contract negotiations with
St John Ambulance. It is not appropriate to provide a response on matters pertaining
to these processes at this time.
