I refer the Premier to clause 6 of his 2001 ministerial code of conduct, which requires that all ministers disclose to the cabinet secretary all pecuniary and other interests of each minister’s spouse and dependent family. (1) Did all ministers appointed in 2001 provide this information; if not, why not? (2) Do these disclosures show that the spouse or dependent family member of any minister held shares in the Alinta Ltd, Alcoa World Alumina Australia and DUET consortium, which purchased the Dampier to Bunbury natural gas pipeline, at the time cabinet was deliberating whether to provide government financial assistance to the successful bidder? (3) If yes to (2), who are the relevant ministers and did they declare a conflict of interest pursuant to clause 8 of the ministerial code of conduct when the matter was before cabinet? Hon KIM CHANCE

I thank the member for some notice of this question. I request that the Leader of the Opposition place the question on notice, because the cabinet secretary, who maintains the records under secure circumstances, is away due to sickness.
