(1)–(2)
I see this as a really important issue for the state as the city is growing so
rapidly. There is a need to consider alternative ways to decentralise the
population out of Perth. That said, it is critical that we understand the
business case and the financial viability of each of the situations we are
looking at. The government is committed to ensuring that it will investigate
these opportunities to the nth degree so the decisions we make are the right
ones for the population of Western Australia. At this point, I need to get
finalised business cases so I can provide a more accurate response. I will do
so when that information is at hand.
Mr D.J. Kelly interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for Bassendean, I
call you to order for the first time.
Mr P.C. Tinley interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for Willagee, I
call you to order for the first time.
Mr P.C. Tinley : I am here to help.
The SPEAKER : Sorry?
Mr P.C. Tinley : Thank you, Mr Speaker.
