I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) No. A new
contract was not signed with Maroomba Airlines following the purchase of two
aircraft. In accordance with the existing contract with Maroomba Airlines, an
extension of contract was offered for a period of approximately 12 months to
provide service continuity whilst the current tender process is underway to
procure an operations and maintenance contractor.
(2)–(4) In
light of the current tender process for an operations and maintenance
contractor, releasing this information at this time may have an adverse impact
on this process.
