Given that the Minister for Justice has just indicated that the Department of Justice did apply to have Wimbridge’s parole cancelled, obviously unsuccessfully - (1) Why did the Parole Board not cancel his parole? (2) Why does the Attorney General continue to back rather than sack the Parole Board? Mr J.A. McGINTY

(1)-(2) Unfortunately, the member has his information wrong. The Department of Justice recommended to the Parole Board that Mr Wimbridge’s parole be cancelled, and it was cancelled by the Parole Board. Mr R.F. Johnson : When? Why was he still at large? The SPEAKER : I know that the member for Hillarys might have missed the opportunity for a supplementary question but that does not give him the opportunity to ask it anyhow.
