SCHOOLS — AIR-COOLING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
327. Hon SUE ELLERY to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Finance:
I am not sure whether representative arrangements have
changed since I lodged this question. I refer to maintenance of air-cooling in
schools. For the week beginning Monday, 8 February 2016, I ask —
(1) How many
calls to building management and works were made from WA schools in relation to
air‑cooling system breakdowns?
(2) Of these
schools, how many were given —
(a) priority
1;
(b) priority
2; and
(c) priority
3?
(3) For each
of (2)(a) to (c) —
(a) what is the maximum time specified for a maintenance
crew to visit the school to fix the problem; and
(b) in how
many instances was the time specified for that priority level met?
(4) To date and for each of (2)(a) to (c), how many schools
are yet to have their air-cooling fault repaired.

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
On behalf of the Department of Finance, I advise the member
that providing the requested information would take considerable time and
resources, and I do not consider that to be an appropriate use of the agency's
time. I request that the member place the question on notice.
