MR ROSS BROMELL
(1) In the light of the minister’s recent dealings with the Busselton Shire Council, will he acknowledge that he - (a) has inappropriately used Mr Ross Bromell as an intermediary with the Shire of Busselton; (b) did not receive an official invitation to open the billboard project as claimed in his answer to a parliamentary question on Wednesday, 27 March; and (c) caused considerable embarrassment to the Shire of Busselton’s elected officials and staff, Mr Bromell and obviously himself? (2) As the Shire of Busselton and the chamber of commerce have cancelled the billboard opening this Friday because it is not yet finished, there was no state government money in the project anyhow and the community is totally fed up with the minister’s arrogant and discourteous approach with the result that he has been requested not to visit the town, will the minister now give an undertaking to adhere to accepted protocols and treat local authorities and elected officials with the respect they deserve? The PRESIDENT: The last part of the question conflicts with standing orders. Hon TOM STEPHENS
