FIONA STANLEY HOSPITAL - ALAN PIPER CONSULTING
I have a supplementary question. Why will the minister not allow this process to be independently audited by the Auditor General? Mr J.A. McGINTY

AnswerView source ↗

The Auditor General can audit whatever he likes. We have a probity auditor and five senior public servants. What is it about the process that the Deputy Leader of the Opposition does not like? Mr T. Buswell : I do not like the way the original tender was cancelled. Mr J.A. McGINTY : The Deputy Leader of the Opposition may not like that, but that is what occurred. Is there any suggestion that anything has not been done with total probity in this matter? That is the issue. Members opposite want to continue to knock the Fiona Stanley Hospital project. It is fundamental to the health care of every Western Australian, and we will make sure that we have the best possible team to deliver that. Alan Piper got this tender as the result of an open tender process, and it is all completely transparent.
