CHILD PROTECTION —
STAFF
632. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the parliamentary secretary representing the
Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the Western
Australian public sector quarterly workforce report—March 2021 ,
which states —
A small number of agencies saw
decreases in headcount and FTE, with the most notable being the Department of
Communities decreasing by 315 headcount (-5.2%) or 207 FTE (-3.9%). This
included cessation of fixed term contracts, severances, secondments and
retirements.
(1) Did the significant reduction in FTE headcount for
the Department of Communities involve child protection staff?
(2) If yes, how
many positions did child protection lose?
