I refer to the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing, and ask:
(a) as of 23 November 2009, how many dwellings have commenced construction under this agreement;
(b) what is the location of those dwellings that have commenced construction;
(c) how many dwellings will have commenced construction, or are anticipated to have commenced construction, as of 1 February 2010; and
(d) what is the location of those dwellings which will have commenced construction or it is anticipated will commence construction as of 1 February 2010?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a) As at 23 November 2009, 24 dwellings had commenced construction.
(b) As at 23 November 2009, 19 dwellings to be located in Ardyaloon, Bindi Bindi, Jigalong, Mardiwah Loop, Nicholson Block and Wirrimanu (Balgo) had commenced construction and another 5 transportable dwellings for remote Indigenous Communities had commenced construction in Perth. The final location of these dwellings is yet to be formally agreed with the Commonwealth.
(c) As at 1 February 2010, 70 dwellings had commenced construction
(d) As at 1 February 2010, 58 dwellings to be located in Ardyaloon, Beagle Bay, Bindi Bindi, Darlngunaya, Jigalong, Kurnangki, Mardiwah Loop, Nicholson Block, Parukupan, Wirrimanu (Balgo), Warmun and Wongatha Wonganarra had commenced construction and another 12 transportable dwellings for remote Indigenous Communities had commenced construction in Perth. The final location of these dwellings is yet to be formally agreed with the Commonwealth.
