ST JOHN AMBULANCE — INDEPENDENT OVERSIGHT
PANEL — REVIEW
1024. Hon ADELE FARINA to the Leader of the
House representing the Premier:
(1) Will the
government agree to the establishment of a parliamentary committee with equal
representation of government and opposition members to oversight the
implementation by St John Ambulance of the recommendations of the Independent
Oversight Panel review of St John Ambulance, the Phoenix report and the Chief
Psychiatrist's report?
(2) If not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. There are
actually two questions that are quite similar, I think.
(1)–(2) The
government acknowledges the report findings, which are being given thorough
consideration by St John Ambulance, the Department of Health and the
government. The Minister for Health and senior representatives from the
Department of Health will be working with St John Ambulance to discuss the
implementation of the recommendations.
