Synergy has advised that, in information provided to answer question without notice number 958 on 17 November 2010, it indicated it had been charged $1.027 million in merchant service fees in 2009-10. In fact, Synergy was charged $1.342 million. Synergy's Chief Executive Officer has advised that, since his appointment to the position, he has been reviewing all areas of Synergy's operations. The credit card processing fee is currently subject to review to ensure it achieves its objective of being purely a cost recovery mechanism.
