(a) Planning is progressing jointly via the Western Australian Planning
Commission and the Department of Housing. A review is currently being
undertaken on the provision of services such as roads, power, gas and sewer to
the site and a 'request for proposals' document is being prepared to seek
potential developers and operators for the development. (b) There
are no formal plans in place at this preliminary stage, however, the site has
been protected through the declaration of Planning Control Area No. 103 on 6
November 2012 to ensure that no development occurs on this land which might
prejudice the future provision of a caravan park.
