Foundation.
(c) Telethon Kids Institute.
(2) (a) The total amount is $1 million.

(c) The total amount is $42 million.
(3) (a) The approved Perth Children's
Hospital scope includes a recreation and entertainment area to assist in
achieving a positive hospital experience for patients and families by providing
places and activities away from clinical settings. Consistent with existing
facilities at Princess Margaret Hospital, this area includes services provided
by the not-for-profit international organisation Starlight Foundation. The
Starlight Foundation is responsible for the cost of the design and construction
of the fit-out for its facility, with the work being delivered under the Perth
Children's Hospital managing contractor contract.
Hon Kate Doust interjected.
Hon HELEN MORTON : It is very difficult; do you want me
to start again, Mr President? I have not actually finished yet. I continue —
(b) In 2011,
the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation approached the Department of Health
with a proposal for a pedestrian bridge across Winthrop Avenue linking Perth
Children's Hospital to Kings Park. The proposal has subsequently been
fully developed and the bridge will be delivered as a variation under the Perth
Children's Hospital managing contractor contract, with all associated
costs to be met by the PMHF.
(c) The Perth
Children's Hospital includes an integrated research and education
facility, allowing optimal integration of research, teaching and clinical
activities to create an environment that facilitates innovation and best
practice in health care. The major tenant of the IREF is the Telethon Kids
Institute, which will relocate from its existing facility in Subiaco.
Originally, it was planned for the TKI to be responsible for delivery of the
fit-out for the TKI component of the IREF. To avoid interface issues, it was
subsequently agreed that the TKI fit-out would also be delivered as a variation
under the Perth Children's Hospital managing contractor contract; the
above cost represents TKI's agreed funding contribution.
