NARROGIN
HEALTH SERVICE — ACCOMMODATION
1124. Hon STEVE MARTIN to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the shortage of
accommodation for regional health staff.
(1) Have doctors
or other staff been using patient beds or any other facilities at Narrogin
Health Service for their own accommodation?
(2) How often has this occurred
since 1 July 2023?
(3) How many
accommodation units or homes are available in Narrogin for doctors, nurses and
other medical staff at the Narrogin hospital; and, of those, how many are
vacant, if any?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) There are two
self-contained units for locum doctors to use as required. These units are
situated in the corporate services area and are not inpatient beds on the ward.
(2) It is 47 times.
(3) It is 19 properties, including
nurses' quarters; two units are vacant.
