The Department for Child Protection has a fleet of 598 vehicles throughout the State, all of which are operational vehicles. Operational vehicles are provided to support and transport clients and children as required. The transportation of clients and children often results in soiling or sickness in the cars, requiring the vehicles to be cleaned. If an instance of soiling happens within the vehicle the office may take the vehicle to a car detailer for internal cleaning, however there is no formal detailing arrangement specifically provided for each vehicle.
