I refer to the sealing of the Western Australian (WA) section of the Outback Way (Great Central Road), and to the WA Government’s publicly stated commitment of $100 million and a projected completion date of 2030, and I ask: (a) given that in 2022 the WA Government committed to completing the sealing by 2030, how many kilometres have been sealed since that announcement, and how many remain unsealed; (b) is the Minister aware of any changes to the projected completion date for sealing the WA section of the Outback Way since the joint funding announcement in 2022; (c) if yes to (b), what is the revised timeline, and what were the original completion targets; (d) has the Minister’s office received any briefings from Main Roads WA or the Department of Transport outlining reasons for delays or recommending changes to the delivery schedule; (e) if yes to (d), will the Minister table those briefings or provide a summary of their findings; and (f) if no to (d), why not?
