(1) How many times, over the past two years, have Fisheries Officers travelled from Karratha to Port Hedland?
(2) What were the specific issues that required the Fisheries Officers to travel from Karratha to Port Hedland?

2) On twenty three (23) occasions Fisheries and Marine Officers primarily travelled to Port Hedland to undertake routine checks at local boat ramps and creeks in the area. On seven (7) occasions Fisheries and Marine Officers also attended meetings in town relating to native title and Aboriginal Fishing Strategy issues, liaison with Customs and Western Australian Police and meetings with the Muslim community. 3) On nineteen (19) visits to Port Hedland area, two officers undertook these patrols and on six (6) occasions the patrols were only undertaken by one officer as the prime purpose was to attend community meetings. 4) Yes. 5) Six Mile Creek - fourteen (14) Finucane Island - eighteen (18) Utah Island ramp - twenty (20) Tichler Condini and De Grey River - eight (8) Balla Balla - five (5) Cape Kerauderen - six (6) 6) Yes 7) Records show that during the month of April most fishing was occurring at night time with fishers targeting mulloway in the harbour. Other activity observed was general shore based fishing for primarily threadfin salmon and mulloway. Boat fishing inspected was for reef fish species and mackerel.
