(e)   The Perth based Highway Patrol general operate within a 400-kilometre radius of Perth, but are deployed statewide on operational needs. Capel REU operate in the Southwest Police District.
(f)   In certain instances, when Highway Patrol are departing from or returning to the metropolitan area, they may be temporarily redirected to high-priority tasks in the immediate vicinity. However, they are relieved from these duties as soon as practical, allowing them to resume their regular responsibilities.
Note: Regional Enforcement Unit (REU) based in the metropolitan area is now known as Highway Patrol whereas Capel REU still use that title.
