The information supplied below results from analysis of data held on court case management systems. The provision of more detailed analysis would require the diversion of significant resources.
The information is only available in the form below for the calendar years 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003 to date and that, with the exception of the answers to Question (7), offences contributing to the information are only those which are specific to cannabis. The statistics should be treated with caution as it is likely that more general offence categories will contain some charges where the drug involved was cannabis.
Also note that the responses to Questions (2) to (9) inclusive record the number of convictions not persons (i.e. one person may have multiple convictions).
