The Western Australian Police Force advise:
As at 30 September 2020, 6 731 police officers (recruit to Commissioner) were employed within the Western Australia Police Force. Police officers may be directed to frontline duties when required. The number of operationally deployable officers being personally issued with multi-threat body armour is 6,230.
