Kimberley Community Legal Services titled Stuck in the heat: Lived
experiences of public housing tenants in the Kimberley .
(1) Has the minister read the report?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) The state government provides cooling in homes
through cost-effective means for tenants, including ceiling fans, higher ceilings, roof and wall insulation
and appropriate design. Specific design features are considered in all
new construction in the north west to accommodate the climate in that region.
The McGowan government is committed to housing more vulnerable people in
modern, well-designed homes. This forms part of our $2.4 billion investment
over four years to increase and improve the quality and accessibility of social
housing and homelessness services across the state.
