I refer to the Government’s recent announcement to relocate the Department of Parks and Wildlife headquarters to Bunbury, and the earlier 2013 announcement which said the new headquarters would include a conference area and theatrette, and I ask: (a) will department’s headquarters now proposed for Koombana Drive in Bunbury include a conference area and threatrette; and (b) will the Minister confirm whether the Government has committed the amount of $15million or $18million towards the construction of the headquarters on Koombana Drive in Bunbury?

The Minister for Environment has provided the following response.
(a) Multi-use spaces including a conference area are planned to be incorporated into the first stage of the new development. The need for a theatrette in the first stage will be evaluated in the concept design phase of the project.
(b) The Department of Parks and Wildlife received funding of $250 000 in 2014-15 to prepare a business plan for the project that will be considered as part of the budget process.
