In view of the costly and time consuming administration of the issue involving Neil Winzer, not to mention the emotional upheaval experienced by Mr Winzer and his family, I ask the minister to explain - (1) The current status of Mr Winzer’s termination package? (2) Exactly what steps are being taken to bring this matter to a close? Hon GRAHAM GIFFARD

I thank the member for some notice of this question.. (1)-(2) The Department for Planning and Infrastructure is awaiting advice from Mr Winzer on his intentions. Correspondence has been sent to Mr Winzer outlining an option to bring this matter to a close and seeking a response from Mr Winzer by 31 October 2002.
