Hon Peter Collier requests a list and tabling of all documents provided to Infrastructure Australia for the Yanchep rail extension and Thornlie–Cockburn Link projects. The Minister responds by noting the public availability of summary project definition plans and hints at future document release pending procurement progress, while also criticising the Leader of the Opposition's handling of the Forrestfield–Airport Link project documents.

YANCHEP RAIL EXTENSION
AND THORNLIE–COCKBURN LINK
1259. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Yanchep rail
extension and the Thornlie–Cockburn Link.
(1) Will the
minister provide a list of all documents that have been provided to
Infrastructure Australia to allow for the assessment of these projects?
(2) Will the minister table these
documents; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the Leader of the Opposition
for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) The
summary project definition plans for the Yanchep rail extension and Thornlie–Cockburn
Link are publicly available documents. I have tabled those previously. If the
member would like me to table them again, I can. Further consideration can be
given to the release of additional documents once the procurement process is
further progressed.
It should be noted that the Leader of
the Opposition will not authorise the release of the project definition plan
for the Forrestfield–Airport Link project, despite the request being
sent twice and despite the project being under construction.
