I refer to page 10 of the Housing Authority 2013-14 annual report, which discusses the 497 new homes built and 1299 refurbished in remote Aboriginal communities under the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing, and ask: (a) Could you please name the communities which have had homes built or refurbished; (b) Can you please provide the total amount of money invested in each community; (c) What was the criteria for investment; and (d) How much Commonwealth funding was provided for this in 2013-14 and how much Western Australia Government funding?

The Department of Housing advises:
(a)-(b) See Tabled Paper no.
(c) Investment decisions are made to improve the quality and supply of housing in remote communities to address homelessness and overcrowding.
(d) In 2013-14 the Commonwealth provided $152.528m towards the National Partnership Agreement on Remote Indigenous Housing construction and refurbishment program.
In the same period the State provided $61.395m supporting the provision of services in remote Aboriginal Communities including:
(i) maintaining and managing essential services (RAESP);
(ii) water quality improvement projects in over 45 communities;
(iii) upgrading power and water infrastructure at Jigalong;
(iv) maintaining and managing swimming pools;
(v) providing housing management services.
