I refer to the Peel Aquatic Use Review, which is being co-ordinated by the Department of Transport, and ask: (a) what is the timeline for this Review and when is it expected that final recommendations will be forwarded to you for consideration; (b) what public consultation and feedback from the public and interest groups has been undertaken as part of this Review; (c) which community groups, interest groups and key stakeholders has the Department consulted with in regards to this Review; (d) when was the previous 8 knots speed limit in the Sticks Channel area revoked and why was this done; and (e) why is the Department proposing to increase the speed limits for motor boats to unrestricted speed in the Sticks Channel in the estuary, when this area is utilised by both motorised and paddle craft and any speed increase will cause major safety concerns for all water users?
