I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1) The current state budget allocation for ITABs for the 2002-03 financial year is $1 065 000. (2) The State Government will provide 1 400 000 to support the network in 2003-04. This is necessary to keep the ITAB network functioning following the federal Government’s decision to stop providing its share of the funding. It is expected that funding will continue at this level in 2004-05 and 2005-06. (3) The ITAB network and the Department of Training are currently working together to review industry advisory arrangements in Western Australia. The ITAB group has stated its preference to retain all 14 discrete ITABs. Further details on how these arrangements will operate are currently being discussed.
