❓ Hon Sue Ellery requested a breakdown of the 2013 budget for each WA public school, including salary and cash components. The response indicates that the Department of Education cannot provide a complete breakdown due to resource allocation methods used at the time, and provides limited data with caveats about comparability.

(1)-(2)(b) The budget for each Western Australian public school for the 2013 school year is listed in Tabled Paper.
Due to the way that resources have been allocated to schools up to and including 2014, the Department of Education does not have a total allocated budget, including salaries and cash budget components, for all Western Australian public school for the 2013 school year.
The information provided has been prepared on the following basis:
· Salaries budget - Salary allocations are only available for Independent Public Schools or schools operating with a One-Line Budget. Other schools did not receive a salaries budget in 2013. Salaries budgets are not comparable with payroll certificate information.
· The Cash Component includes School Grants (including Targeted initiatives), Special Purpose allocations and Utilities allocations.
It is important to note that 2013 school budgets are not comparable with the 2014 Forecast Actual Budget or the 2015 Preliminary SCFM Budgets published on the Department of Education's website on 2 August 2014. This is due to a number of reasons, including enrolment fluctuations; treatment of Targeted Initiatives; and changes to employment oncost charging rates for school staff from 2015.
