The Department of Education has been liaising with the Department for Planning and Infrastructure in the preparation of planning report to justify an amendment to the Metropolitan Region Scheme to exclude the Carine TAFE land from the Special Purpose Technical School Reservation and include it in the Urban Zone. Once the Department of Education has finalised its justification report, the Western Australian Planning Commission will consider the proposal to amend the Metropolitan Region Scheme.
