(1) Yes. The State Government has allocated $25.9 million to the new Suicide Prevention Strategy over the next four year. This is the twice the amount as what was allocated for the previous strategy and covers the following six Action Areas:
· Action Area 1 - Greater Public Awareness and United Action:  $4.4 million;
· Action Area 2 - Local Support & Community Prevention Across Lifespan:  $3.4 million;
· Action Area 3 - Coordinated and Targeted Services for High Risk Groups: $15.336 million;
· Action Area 4 - Shared Response Across Government, Private and Non-Government Sector to Build Mentally Healthy Workplaces: No funding is allocated for this Action Area. This will be achieved through internal resourcing.
· Action Area 5 - Increased Suicide Prevention Training: $1.26 million; and
· Action Area 6 - Timely Data and Evidence to Improve Responses and Services: $1.489 Million
(2) Yes.
