Mr. Murray questions the Leader of the National Party's lack of a firm stance on the potential sale of the TAB, given the party's involvement in government and the Minister for Racing and Wagering being a member. The Leader's response is vague, stating the party's position is clear.

ASSET SALES — TAB
387. Mr M.P. MURRAY to the Leader of the
National Party:
I have a supplementary question. As the Leader of
the National Party is part of the government, with the minister responsible for
racing and wagering a member of his party, why is he not taking a firm position
on this ongoing issue?

AnswerView source ↗

I think our position has been clear.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Thank you! Member for Collie–Preston!
Mr D.T. REDMAN : The National Party has been clear on its
position publicly. If and when decision-making points come to be made in and
around our policy, we will do exactly that.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : That question is finished!
