NICHELIVING
569. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I
have a supplementary question. Why has the Premier and his minister refused
these requests to meet with hundreds of Nicheliving customers who are
yet to see progress on their homes at a time when the director of Nicheliving
is having work done on his home at this very moment?

I could not agree with the Leader of
the Opposition more in saying that it is up to Nicheliving to meet with its
customers and explain to them why it is refusing to assist them to get into
their homes. There is a very simple solution for this, and that is to make sure
that people can access the home indemnity insurance scheme through the
deregistration process. That is the easiest way to get a roof over the heads of
these poor customers, and we hope that that happens as soon as possible.
