PASPALEY
PEARLING COMPANY — JARROD HAMPTON
1326. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Minister for Commerce:
I refer to my
question without notice on 17 November 2015 regarding Paspaley Pearling Company
and the death of pearl diver Jarrod Hampton and to the minister's
response that the decision to proceed to a full coronial inquiry is currently
being considered by the coroner.
(1) Has the Coroner's Court of
Western Australia sought a copy of WorkSafe Western Australia 's investigations into the death of
Mr Hampton?
(2) Has WorkSafe provided its investigation
report, findings and all other information to the Coroner's Court; and,
if not, why not?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) The Coroner's Court
has been in contact with WorkSafe in the matter. WorkSafe is waiting for
confirmation of the requirements of the Coroner's Court.
