SYNERGY —
CHAIRMANSHIP
534. Mr W.J. JOHNSTON to the
Minister for Energy:
I have a supplementary question. Minister, who is telling the
truth? Is the minister telling the truth or is Mr Smith telling the truth,
because they are telling contradictory stories?

AnswerView source ↗

There is a great movie in which Jack Nicholson says, ''You
can't handle the truth!'' This is a man who is going out into
the ether and spouting as much nonsense as he can.
Mr W.J. Johnston interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Cannington, I do not want any more interjections.
Point of Order
Mr
W.J. JOHNSTON : Could I ask the minister to address the question. The
question was: is he telling the truth or is Mr Smith telling the truth, because
they have given contradictory answers?
The
SPEAKER : That is repeating the question.
Questions without Notice Resumed
Dr M.D. NAHAN : It
is repeating the question. I had many conversations with Mike Smith over many
things. He was the chairman of Synergy. I respect the confidence that I offered
him in that and I am not going to dwell on it.
