(1-3)  Mr Winzer wrote to the Public Sector Commissioner expressing dissatisfaction at the way his employer, the Department of Transport, was managing the assessment of his proposed return to work in the public sector. The Public Sector Commissioner sought a response from the Department of Transport.
Discussions have occurred between the Public Sector Commission and Department of Transport regarding Mr Winzer's concerns and how to proceed. The Public Sector Commission wrote to Mr Winzer on Monday 5 September 2011 advising him of the outcome of these discussions. Mr Winzer was also advised that the Commissioner has made staff from his office available to assist the Department of Transport in developing a process to assess Mr Winzer's fitness and readiness to return to work.
