STUDENT BEHAVIOUR CENTRES
I refer to the minister’s media statement announcing the creation of five primary school student behaviour centres throughout the metropolitan area, and ask — (1) Is the minister aware of the student behaviour problems in Geraldton? (2) Why have major regional centres such as Geraldton and Esperance not been provided with specialist behaviour centres? (3) Given that the city-based program relies on individual case management, will the country outreach program provide the same one-to-one student support and supervision? (4) If not, why not? (5) If so, will that be done by a contracted local case manager, a fly in, fly out case manager or someone who does not leave his desk in Perth? (6) If a contracted local manager is not employed, what assistance will be provided to country teachers to ensure that the outreach program can be delivered effectively without adding to their current workload? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH
