SCHOOL EDUCATION ACT EMPLOYEES’ (TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS) GENERAL AGREEMENT 2008 — ASBESTOS REMOVAL
I have a supplementary question. Clause 52.13 of the School Education Act Employees’ (Teachers and Administrators) General Agreement 2008 refers to the Department of Education. Building Management and Works is not referred to anywhere in clause 52 of the agreement, which states, “Those areas assessed as high risk will be targeted first.” I again ask the minister whether she can guarantee that such a clause will be contained in the agreement currently being negotiated. There certainly is an agreement being negotiated at the moment. I cannot guarantee that because, again, those negotiations are under the Minister for Commerce. Mr B.S. Wyatt : Can you guarantee anything? The SPEAKER : Thank you, members! Ms M.M. Quirk : I hope you are giving your pay to charity. The SPEAKER : Member for Girrawheen, a simple instruction: if you want the call, seek it. I formally call you to order for the first time. Dr E. CONSTABLE : I can guarantee that the safety of both students and staff is uppermost, and that will guide any negotiations or agreements to do with asbestos.
