ECONOMIC DOWNTURN IN WESTERN AUSTRALIA — GOVERNMENT RESPONSE
I refer to the ANZ survey released today revealing that Western Australia recorded the biggest fall in job advertisements of any state in Australia in February with a drop of 29.8 per cent. Can the Premier detail, and I emphasise the word “detail”, the specific cross-government response, including perhaps training policy, strategic use of the capital works program and other measures, to deal with the effects of the current economic downturn in Western Australia? Mr C.J. BARNETT
