As highlighted by the WAtoday article of 7 February, ''Chicken
or the egg: State broods on electric car report for entire year'', there
are now 350 public charging stations in Western Australia.
(1) Where are the public charging stations located?
(2) What proportion is the fast chargers that the report is
regarding?
(3) How many are destination
chargers?
(4) When will the recommendations by
the electric vehicles working group be made public?

Minister for Innovation and ICT, I provide the following answer.
(1)–(3) The
PlugShare website provides detailed information on public electric vehicle
charging stations located in Western Australia, as well as other locations
across Australia and countries overseas. This includes information regarding the location and power level—that is,
whether the chargers are fast chargers or slower destination chargers.
(4) The Western Australian
electric vehicles working group is preparing a draft state electric vehicle
strategy for consideration by government. The strategy is being progressed and
will be released when finalised.
