CORONAVIRUS —
VACCINATION PLAN — REGIONS
48. Hon
MARTIN ALDRIDGE to the minister representing the Minister for Health:
I refer to the media statement of 3
May 2021 titled ''Fifties and over can now roll up for COVID
vaccinations''.
(1) At what
regional locations can state-run COVID-19 vaccinations be accessed?
(2) To date, how many Western Australians have been
vaccinated and of those how many reside in regional WA?
(3) Currently, what stocks of each vaccine type are
held by the state for metropolitan use and for regional use?
(4) If using
public hospitals in regional WA for both COVID-19 testing and vaccination, what
consideration has been given to the impact on the ordinary operation of these
hospitals from a resourcing perspective?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question.
The 20 sites listed in the table
are the WA Country Health Service AstraZeneca vaccination clinics, which are
available in the next fortnight to members of the public aged over 50 years.
There are a number of other clinics in regional areas that are available to
priority populations in phase 1a and lb, including regional frontline
healthcare staff, quarantine and border workers, aged-care residents and staff
in WACHS facilities.
(1) There is a table
that lists the region and the clinics, and I seek leave to have it incorporated
into Hansard .
