❓ Hon. Sally Talbot asks the Minister for Disability Services to confirm that the Disability Services Commission is not required to withdraw from providing accommodation places under the NDIS. I thank the member for the question because it gives me the
opportunity to indicate again that the basic requirement of NDIS is that people
have choice and control. The issue around choice is that people have the choice
to move between different providers. If they do not like one provider, they go
to another provider and if they do not like that provider, they go to another
provider. It is putting the choice of provision of services in the hands of
individuals; therefore, they are not constrained in having a single provider.
