(1a) Refer to (2)
(1b) The Department has had no direct contact from any victim survivors of family and domestic violence regarding relocation due to limitations of electronic monitoring coverage.
(2) The Department was allocated $100,000 over three years to monitor and evaluate the expansion of electronic monitoring under the Family Violence Legislative Reforms across both metropolitan and regional Western Australia. The evaluations will include consultation with key stakeholders.
(3) The evaluation will be undertaken by an independent specialist with appropriate cultural competence.
(4) The evaluation will be undertaken in two parts. Program implementation and early operation will be evaluated in the first half of 2026. Program outcomes, including longer-term reoffending and community safety outcomes, will be evaluated in 2028/29.
