PERTH TO BUNBURY HIGHWAY PROJECT
As a supplementary question, can the minister explain why this sign, a picture of which I am holding up, appears at several locations on Old Coast Road stating that the construction will begin in 2006; does the minister have a commitment to the people of Western Australia? Several members interjected. The SPEAKER : Order, members! Ms A.J.G. MacTIERNAN

Again, if the member had done his research, he would be aware that that sign went up before the federal government’s announcement that it would give us an extra $20 million. We have just been very economical with our signage. Several members interjected. The SPEAKER : Order, members! Ms A.J.G. MacTIERNAN : I assure the member that before the next federal election, he will see a lot more signs showing the relative contributions of the state and federal governments to that road.
