358. Hon Amanda Dorn to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I ask the minister
to expand on the reply he gave yesterday with regard to the proposed Burswood
Motorsport facility and associated infrastructure works within the Burswood
Park precinct.
(1) What is the distance between the end point of
the precinct and the riverfront?
(2) Has an environmental assessment been completed
on the existing waterways separate from the Swan River?
(3) Will the minister provide a list of the flora
and fauna species that appear in the environmental assessment?
(4) Will the minister provide the bird migration
pathways that will be disrupted?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1) The proposed site boundary along Camfield
Drive is approximately 70 metres from the river at the closest point.
(2)–(4) Environmental assessments,
including a flora and fauna assessment, are currently underway.
