I refer to the South Coast Highway, and I ask: (a) what is the current seal width on the South Coast Highway between: (i) Jerramungup and Albany; and (ii) Jerramungup and Esperance; (b) if the seal width varies in (a)(i) and (a)(ii), what are the straight line kilometre locations of the various seal widths; (c) how much is in the budget for maintenance works in: (i) 2013-14; (ii) 2014-15; (iii) 2015-16; and (iv) 2016-17; (d) what maintenance work will be undertaken with this money in the following financial years: (i) 2013-14; (ii) 2014-15; (iii) 2015-16; (iv) 2016-17; and (v) 2017-18; (e) can the Minister confirm that the only money
allocated in the budget or forward estimates for Capital Works is the $30 million for

(a)(i)(ii) The seal width varies on South Coast Highway and is dependent on the location of assets such as passing lanes and turn pockets.

(d)(i)-(v) Routine and specific maintenance works are undertaken on an as required basis. Routine maintenance activities include pothole repair, localised pavement repair, guidepost and sign reinstatement, crack patching, removal of vegetation and road kill. Specific maintenance activities include seal edge repair, pavement repair, repair of rutting and isolated depressions, and reseal.
