I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question. This answer has been provided to me by the Premier.
(1)–(2) The Honourable Malcolm McCusker AC
CVO KC will lead a comprehensive independent special inquiry into the
management of the 2025 election. The Liberal Party, Nationals WA and Greens are
supportive of this approach and were consulted on the terms of reference. A
representative from each of these parties, as well as an electoral affairs
expert, will join a reference panel to support the special inquirer.
Representation of political parties on the reference panel was limited to the
four parties that received the largest share of votes at the 2025 state election.
